In response to the Silk Laundry release of the Symbiotic collection that draws from the microscopic beauty of insects and flowers. I have created eight paintings that depict the green spaces where these overlooked creatures who play a vital role in the preservation of Earth’s biodiversity and the careful balancing of our ecosystems live.

Entice speaks to the allure of discovery one experiences when contemplating where to go in a new city. From my experiences and found media this collection seeks to capture not just the architectural beauty, but also recreate dynamic urban scenes. Each painting tells a story of the urban experience, the role of public spaces and the significance of gathering places in our lives. They serve as a visual documentation of Melbourne’s restaurant scenes, adding to the city’s narrative and highlighting the ever-present connection between people and place.
